In registering with EasyTutors you are deemed to have agreed to these terms, conditions and legal agreements.
1. When a student searches on EasyTutors and selects a tutor, we confirm the booking by charging the student a small booking fee online. This booking fee confirms the student’s commitment to the booking. The booking fee is 15% of the Tutor’s stated hourly rate. For example, the Tutor charges AED 200 per hour and the student wishes to book for 1 hour. The student will pay EasyTutors a booking fee online of AED 30. When the Tutor and the student complete the session, the student will pay the tutor directly AED 170. Please ensure that you take the appropriate payment method.
2. Tutors are asked to provide Easy Tutors evidence of any qualifications they state. However not all tutors have relevant teaching qualifications – in this case they are asked to provide two names and numbers that we can contact as references. The most important qualities we look for in a tutor are knowledge, enthusiasm and patience!
3. EasyTutors strongly recommends to students to request sight of any Tutor’s ID and qualifications at the start of the first session. We advise Tutors to provide their passport of other suitable form of ID, along with any relevant qualifications certificates. As well as ensuring your safety, providing these documents builds a level of trust with your tutor and increases the chances of a long term commitment.
4. Neither the owners of EasyTutors, nor any of its staff are liable for any loss, damage or injury caused whilst tutoring a student.
5. A tutor cannot be held responsible for any students, nor guarding a house and household effects whilst tutoring. Please ensure that a responsible adult is on the premises at all times.
6. The tutors supplied by EasyTutors are self-employed with respect to paying any relevant taxes or other duties payable.
7. We ask that you meet your tutors punctually, as their time is as valuable as yours. We recommend that you arrive five minutes early, and leave on time. If you anticipate you are going to be more than five minutes late, then you must inform EasyTutors prior to making the journey or when practicable during the journey; we will then inform the tutors on your behalf – this means you only have to make one call to us and we will take the responsibility of updating the tutors; we will make as many calls as necessary in order to reach the tutor for you. Please note that if you are late to meet a Tutor, they do have the right to still end the session at the pre-arranged time in order to keep their own schedule not be late themselves for their next student.
8. Please give a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a booking as this is simply professional and courteous. If you cancel a booking with less than 24 hours notice, please note this does not give the Tutor sufficient time to find another Student. All cancellations are recorded and monitored, therefore if you are cancelling or rescheduling more than 25% of your bookings, we will need to review your membership in order to protect other members of EasyTutors by upholding our reputation for high levels of customer service to both Students and Tutors.
9. Students are not refunded their booking fee when they cancel a booked session.
10. If for any reason, your Tutor has to stop tuition mid-course, EasyTutors will endeavour to replace them as soon as possible, subject to availability, in order to minimise disruption to your progress.
11. EasyTutors will regularly conduct follow-up contact with students to ensure they are satisfied with their sessions. If necessary, we will pass on to Tutors any positive or negative feedback in a constructive manner to help with any future sessions. By acknowledging this, you are giving consent for EasyTutors to contact you directly via telephone or email.
12. Students are asked to provide feedback after each session. This is done by answering a few basic questions in a simple check-box format. The questions cover punctuality, knowledge and teaching skills. No written comments are requested. Tutors are rated according to this feedback and an average rating is posted with their profile in the search results. The average rating is posted after the Tutors have completed 5 sessions. Please be as accurate as possible as this rating affects tutors directly.
13. After meeting a Tutor for the first time, Students may well wish to book further sessions with them. Under the terms and conditions, we ask that the students book through the EasyTutors website and pay the confirmation booking fee. Furthermore, this ensures that Tutors do not become double-booked at any time as other students book through the site. EasyTutors reserve the right to terminate membership for both Tutors & Students if this policy is not followed.
14. Students and Tutors can also provide feedback in a more personal manner by emailing us through our website, raising any concerns or points, positive or negative.
15. EasyTutors reserves the right to modify and improve the terms & conditions.
16. You agree that EasyTutors may terminate your password, account, or use of the site for any reason. All notices you give to us shall be in writing and shall be made via e-mail. In addition, EasyTutors may post notices or links to notices through the Site to inform you of changes to the Terms, the Site, or other matters of importance.
17. EasyTutors will not sell or rent any of your personally identifiable information to third parties.
18. EasyTutors do not encourage the passing of private contact information between Students & Tutors. As such, any occurance will be at your own risk and EasyTutors will not be held liable for any consequences financial or otherwise resulting.
19. Students under the age of 18 must have their parents consent to use our services. In completing the Parent Consent section of the student sign in page, you are deemed to have given the correct information for receiving tuition. EasyTutors will not be held liable for risks and consequences arising from incorrect information given by students.
